Figure Matrices
The first pair shows a change. Which figure completes the second pair in the same way?
Show the answer
The answer is C. The outline circle becomes a solid circle. The outline triangle must become a solid triangle in the same way.
Each test follows the order of the real exam: Reading, Written Expression, Mathematics, Figure Matrices, Paper Folding, and Figure Classification.
The first pair shows a change. Which figure completes the second pair in the same way?
The answer is C. The outline circle becomes a solid circle. The outline triangle must become a solid triangle in the same way.
Fold the right half of the square onto the left half. Punch one round hole through both layers, halfway across the folded rectangle and one quarter of the way down. Which choice shows the opened sheet? The square does not turn in any of the drawings.
The answer is D. When you open the sheet, the hole appears again on the other side of the fold, like a mirror image. The result has two holes at the same height, each one quarter of the way in from a side edge.
Look at the three figures in the group. Which choice belongs with them? Compare the small circle in each figure with the shape around it.
The answer is B. Each group figure contains exactly one small circle completely inside a larger closed shape. The small circle does not touch the outer boundary. B follows the same rule, even though its outer shape is a diamond.
Use standard time to practice pacing, time and a half if your child has that approved accommodation, or study mode to work without a clock.
Reading, Written Expression, and Mathematics come first, then the three figure sections, as on the TACHS.
The report gives the number right in each part and lists the questions to review.
